The results of the first survey conducted in Turkey on coronavirus, which emerged in China and spread to 50 countries in a short time, were published. To the question “Is the coronavirus a biological weapon or a natural disease?”, 62% of the citizens answered “It is a biological weapon”, 21% “It is a natural virus”, and 17% “I have no idea”. 2,810 people have died so far due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19), which emerged in Wuhan, China’s Hubei province, and spread to 50 countries. The deadly virus that caused great panic all over the world has not been seen in Turkey so far. The results of the examinations performed on patients who were treated for suspected coronavirus, including passengers brought to Turkey from Iran and China, were negative.
THE FIRST SURVEY ON CORONAVIRUS IS MADE
After all these developments, the first survey on coronavirus was conducted in Turkey. Faruk Acar, President of the Andy-Ar Social Research Center, published the results of the coronavirus survey on HaberTürk.
First of all, the question “Is the coronavirus a biological weapon or a natural disease?” was posed to citizens. 62% of the citizens answered “It is a biological weapon”, 21% “It is a naturally occurring virus” and 17% “I have no idea”.
“DO THE CITIZENS KNOW THE SYMPTOMS OF THE CORONAVIRUS?”
Secondly, the question “Do you know the symptoms of the coronavirus?” was posed to the citizens who participated in the survey. 71% of the citizens answered “I know” and 29% “I don’t know”.
WHAT ARE THE MEASURES TAKEN BY CITIZENS AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS?
Within the scope of the survey conducted by Andy-Ar Research Company, the citizens finally were posed the question “What measures do you take against the virus?”.
The answers given by the citizens to this question are as follows:
- I pay attention to cleanliness: 47%
- I do not go into crowded environments: 30%
- I use a mask: 13%
- I eat healthy: 9%
- I use alternative medicine: 3%
- I use dietary supplements / vitamins: 2%
- I drink plenty of water: 1%
- I stay away from Chinese products and the Chinese: 1%
- I care about getting fresh air: 1%
- I’m not taking any measures: 38%
- Other: 1%
WHAT HAPPENED?
2810 people died due to the coronavirus spreading from Wuhan city of China to most of the world, the virus was transmitted to 82,549 people. The number of people who recovered was determined as 33,252. In the coronavirus epidemic, Iran was the country where the virus affected the most after China. 26 people have died in Iran so far, and the number of cases has been announced as 245.
